Renee integrated her illustrations into her text in the manner of David Shannon's "No, David!"

So good to see Yoli working with illustration again! We discussed how David Shannon used his art to tell the story in his book, "No, David!"

Julianna was inspired by David Shannon's "No, David!" book as well. The picture is of her not getting to swim in the ocean, with a shark.

Bruno's page related to Market Day. The Lemonade Stand was a huge success!

Eli has been working with the pen-and-ink materials to write and draw.

Yoli wrote in pencil first, then reread and edited, then added color, all with good enthusiasm!

"At The Beach by Rio: Me and my brother went to the beach and found shells and then we played in the waves. At the beach we heard that we heard that we heard that we heard This is what it was..." (Secret Ending, you'll never know, dear reader! Rio worked hard to revise this piece!)

Bruno's text reads: "Matt came in the" (then I transcribed the rest.)

"Rio and Bruno were playing with legos and Rio was playing with his ship and zooming it across the desert. And it landed and then Bruno's ship came to Rio's ship and then Rio's ship took off and Rio's ship took down to the underground. The End."
